From a workshop in Basmane to nine companies.
Arventa began in 1978 as a small machine workshop set up by three partners in Izmir. Today it builds and runs ports, power plants and railways across the Aegean.

Who we are
We are an infrastructure company: we run what we build, and we build new things with what running them teaches us. The team that builds a port and the team that operates it for decades sit in the same group.
Our nine companies have their own management; the group centre shares capital, engineering standards, safety and sustainability targets.
How we work
- We decide on investments by looking at thirty years of operating cost.
- Everyone on site has the authority to stop work.
- We talk to the neighbours of a site before construction starts.
